Graboyes is pleased to sponsor a DVGBC event entitled “Introduction to Metered Energy Efficiency Transaction Structure (MEETS),” September 27 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Penn State at the Navy Yard, 1101 Kitty Hawk Ave, Philadelphia.
MEETS co-developer Rob Harmon will lead the program.
Metered Energy Efficiency Transaction Structure (MEETS) is a new financing approach designed to facilitate long-term, deep energy improvements in commercial buildings, using outside capital and providing a new income stream to building owners.
MEETS addresses barriers to deep energy efficiency investments including owners investing in cost saving benefits that tenants reap, tenants investing in buildings they do not own, and a lack of accuracy in quantifying actual cost and energy use savings. The model aligns the interests of building owners, utilities, ratepayers, tenants, and investors to incentivize deep efficiency investments and an accurate and dynamic measurement of savings.
